What to look for in a Life Coaching course

Get this handy checklist to help you make the best decision for your individual needs and goals, and gain the most benefit from the right course for you.
There is a vast amount of 'life coaching' courses on the Internet but don't be fooled by the cheap ones, the 'seems too-good-to-be-true' ones, or those with no reviews or industry registrations or accreditations to validate their certifications.

Especially don't buy into the non-interactive, skip-to-the-end, super cheap "courses"!

You have to feel confident that you're getting real value from any course you commit to, so we've put together a handy checklist below to help you make the best decision for your individual needs, and to gain the most from your learning.

  • Is the training school established with Industry membership, accreditation &/or approved certification?
  • Are the courses industry recognised and eligible for Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance to practice professionally?
  • Are the teachers and trainers working professionals in the coaching, therapy or practitioner space?
  • Can you schedule a face-to-face call to ask your questions?
  • Does the life coaching course have real-life practical experience?
  • Does the course have 1:1 and group live interaction and training calls?
  • Does the school offer 1:1 mentor support and easy email, video and/or phone access to your assessors and teachers?
  • Does the course offer business & marketing education to prepare you for launching your business, in person or online?
  • Is there continued community and support after you graduate?
  • Are there Google reviews and video testimonials of real people and graduates?
  • Are all tuition fees included so there are no hidden costs?
